Sarah McBride: Tomorrow Will Be Different
Saturday June 16 2018, 11:00am
The Link Project, in partnership with Hudson Area Library and OutHudson, is excited to present a special event with LGBTQ advocate and author, Sarah McBride.
Join us at the Hudson Area Library before the OutHudson Parade as Sarah shares her story and reads from her new book "Tomorrow Will Be Different". A book signing will follow the reading.
Informative, heartbreaking, and empowering, Tomorrow Will Be Different is a love story and a call-to-arms that shines a light on personal stories within the trans community, and demonstrates why the fight for equality and freedom has only just begun.
Sarah McBride is a LGBT rights activist and political figure. She is currently the National Press Secretary of the Human Rights Campaign, and is largely credited with the passage of legislation in Delaware banning discrimination on the basis of gender identity in employment, housing, insurance, and public accommodations. She has been a speaker at the Democratic National Convention, becoming the first openly transgender person to address a major party convention in American history. http://sarahmcbride.com/
In May, the non-fiction book group at the Hudson Area Library will be reading "Tomorrow Will Be Different". If you are interested in joining, please email Mark Orton at email@example.com
