SJE & LGBT 25th Anniversary: LGBTQIA Alumni Reunion Brunch
Sunday April 29 2018, 11:00am
Come out to alumni weekend, and celebrate the legacies of LGBTQIA students advocates, past and present. The purpose of this brunch is to honor the efforts and voices of LGBTQIA alumni who dedicated their Rutgers careers to helping improve the LGBTQIA student experience, in addition to celebrating the official 25th anniversary of the founding of the Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities, originally named the Office of Diverse Community Affairs and Lesbian and Gay Concerns (1992). This program will encompass special guest speakers, including key past student leaders and former directors of the Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities, in addition to the newly reorganized LGBTQIA Alumni Association and the official unveiling of the 25 for 25 LGBTQIA Alumni History Project.
Proceeds from the brunch will be donated to the Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities Excellence Fund, which helps to support programming and mentoring initiatives for LGBTQIA students.
