Balena Canto and Love City Brewing present their next queer twist on a classic holiday! Join us this July for INDEPENDENCE GAY!
Independence Gay is a queer festival celebrating the very thing that makes America so special, it's diversity.
A vast array of cultures, backgrounds, races, languages, genders, orientations, religions, and creeds are woven together to create the vibrant and beautiful tapestry that is America.
And while we are all Americans, it is vital that we preserve and celebrate our individual cultures and ethnicities, especially that of those who have been historically suppressed. We cannot wait to share and celebrate with you all!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
An all-day lineup of drinks, food, and entertainment including:
- A singer's concert of all local queer artists paying homage to the songs they associate most with their own individual cultures, backgrounds, and identities.
-A Drag & Burlesque show, Extravaganza with a cast of Philly's most exciting nightlife entertainers celebrating their varied cultures, backgrounds, and identities.
- Themed contests and prizes
- Raffles
- Beer and drinks crafted by our incredible hosts at Love City Brewing
- Food prepared by Haley Quinn's Food Truck!
