Philadelphia Family Pride: New Year's Day Potluck Brunch
Events. At Mishkan Shalom , 4101 Freeland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. United states.
Thursday January 1 2015, 11:00am

Join PFP families on New Year's Day from 11am-2pm at Mishkan Shalom (4101 Freeland Ave.) in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. Prospective parents are also encouraged to attend.
This is a vegetarian potluck. Please bring an appetizer or entree to share. Last year we had a lot of fun with our "pasta dish" contest. This year, enter the contest with a vegetarian chili or cornbread offering. PFP provides drinks and paper products.
For little kids, we'll have story time starting at 11:30 am and we'll have crafts for all ages. For this year's service project, we're asking everyone to bring non-perishable food (canned food, etc.) for the People's Emergency Center.
For all ages, the entertainment this year will be a series of fun games to get you up and moving - Paper Bag Skits, Freeze Dance, Simon Says, Hula-Hoops and more!
Our Silent Auction returns this year with lots to bid on for adults and a table for the kids. If you have items you'd like to donate, contact Fundraising Chair Kelly Durand at kelly@phillyfamilypride.org. Be sure to bring your checkbook!
We'll take care of some business with our annual meeting and board elections, and finally, there will be a make-your-own sundae bar with both dairy and vegan options at 1:30pm.
This event is free for PFP families and $10/family for non-members. If you haven't already renewed for 2015 by Jan. 1, you can renew with check, cash or credit card at the brunch.
