The LGBTQ State Of The Union
Events. At The Kimmel Center For The Performing Arts , 300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. United states.
Tuesday May 29 2018, 6:00pm

The Mayor's Office of LGBT Affairs and Mayor's Commission on LGBT Affairs are excited to announce a groundbreaking event for Philadelphia, this year’s first Community Conversation: The LGBTQ+ State of the Union!
A first of its kind event for the city, The LGBTQ State of The Union provides an opportunity for Executive Directors and Board Presidents from Philadelphia’s LGBTQ+ specific service organizations to interface directly with the community. The leadership of these organizations will deliver TED-talk style presentations on their accomplishments for the year, outline their goals for the upcoming year, and answer questions face-to-face with LGBTQ+ Philadelphians.
This is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and get involved with LGBTQ+ issues in Philadelphia! We invite all community members to join us at the Kimmel Center- the biggest venue for a Community Conversation yet!

Community Conversations are an initiative pioneered by the Office of LGBT Affairs and Mayor’s Commission on LGBT Affairs to cultivate an interactive community forum—specifically addressing the concerns of the Philadelphia LGBTQIA community. Through discussion, breakout groups, and Q & A, the Community Conversations seek to engage the insight and expertise of the community in addressing pertinent issues and working collaboratively to identify solutions.
