SUMMARY:Bicycle & Brunch Bike Rally & Charity Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Friends - I'd like to invite everyone to join us for a Bicycle & Brunch rally for Charity. We will meet at the steps in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum on Sunday July 23rd at 10am. Our Brunch location will be Tavern on Broad\, they will have a special menu of brunch specialties (omlettes\, french toast\, pancakes) as well as some drink specials.\nThe charity is BiciSoul\, which in part combines fighting heart decease with building awareness of bicycling as a healthy cardiovascular exercise. This charity seems like a perfect fit for our "Bicycle & Brunch" bicycle rally. We are asking for a $5 donation to participate in our event.\nBicycling Route From the Art Museum steps we will bicycle to Martin Luther King Jr Drive (commonly referred to as West River Drive). There is a 4.5 mile stretch of road from the Art Museum to Falls Bridge where car traffic is blocked until 12noon\, making it the perfect spot for a group bicycle rally! We welcome bicyclers of all experience levels\, go at your own pace and enjoy a morning of peddling with friends through Fairmount Park. We expect to finish bicycling around noon. Please be sure to bring lots of water/fluids to stay hydrated... and don't forget the sunscreen.\nBiciSoul BiciSoul is a Philadelphia-based 501c3 organization to battle heart disease and assist those that require heart transplants. BiciSoul is in the process of collaborating with the American Heart Association and Penn and Drexel Medicine. The President and Founder of BiciSoul originally had a heart transplant when he was six and this was returning the favor to those impacted with heart issues.
