DESCRIPTION:Wellness & Living with HIV Support Group at The Source LGBT+ Center in Visalia CA\nEvery Saturday - 6:00PM to 7:30PM PST\nWe are starting a new Wellness & Living with HIV Support Group on Thursdays and Saturdays every week!\nBeing held at The Source LGBT+ Center\nTopic/Discussion-based meetings led by Tony Gomez CADC-II\, ICADC --Group will be starting on 08/04/2022 & 08/06/2022.\nMeetings are 90 minutes and will be provided twice a week!\nYour two options are Thursdays at 6pm or Saturdays at 2pm. So if you miss or can’t attend Thursday’s group the same topic/discussion will be that following Saturday. \nFood is included!\n12 weeks total\, broken into 3 four-week blocks with each block beginning based on interest and participation. \n \nTopics will include:-Newly Diagnosed Support-Disclosure-Stigma and Mental Health-Healthy Living-Understanding Care-Introduction to Sobriety and LWHIV-Opportunistic Infections-Family Planning-LWHIV and recovery-Closure\n \nObjectives:-To provide an opportunity for clients to share personal experiences and feelings\, coping strategies\, or firsthand information about diseases or treatments.-To provide clients with information on healthy living and how to begin their journey.-To create a safe space where the client feels supported and free of any judgment.-To identify any lack of resources that the client might need.\n \nThank you so much for your interest\, and as always please reach out to Tucker@thesourcelgbt.org or Tony@thesourcelgbt.org with any questions\, comments\, or concerns.
