DESCRIPTION:Full Spectrum & Foundational Reproductive Health Support at Bayard Rustin Center For Social Justice in Princeton NJ\nEvery Thursday - 10:00AM to 1:00PM EST\nThe Birth Justice Program at the BRCSJ centers on educating\, supporting\, & empowering women of color\, queer & transfolx\, low-income women\, differently abled women\, & immigrant women to safely navigate pregnancy\, birth & the postpartum process. \nPregnancy experiences & outcomes can be dramatically different for different people\, especially for members of vulnerable communities. The disparities in maternal & infant outcomes are not the result of differences in genes or behaviors but are mostly explained by the differential historical\, social\, economic\, & health environments experienced by Black & brown women. These economic & social differences matter for health; they are determinants of health\, & as long as they exist\, so will the disparities in maternal & infant health. \nWe acknowledge those inequalities & work to empower people in these communities to make autonomous healthy decisions for themselves & their babies to obtain safe\, respectful\, equitable medical care.\nrustincenter.org
