Online Event: World Karaoke Live Event From Atlantic City NJ

April 4, 2020 - 7:00PM to 1:00AM EST

“World Karaoke Live,” a free event, will begin at 7 p.m. April 4 and will be live-streamed on Facebook Live.

It just might be the ultimate expression of social distancing for a karaoke event – which generally brings people together.

But during the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, an online entertainment known as “World Karaoke Live” has been created with the goal of performers reaching a planetary audience without putting the singers or the viewing audience at risk of contracting the novel coronavirus.
That’s because everything will be happening in the comfort and safety of the singers’ and viewers’ own homes.

“World Karaoke Live,” a free event, will begin at 7 p.m. April 4 and will be live-streamed on Facebook Live. Unless the novel coronavirus can travel across the Internet, there’s little to no risk of anyone contracting the disease during the show because the only intermingling between artists and audience will be of the digital type.”

The show is a collaboration between USA DJ/Karaoke, owned by retired Ventnor City Police sergeant Bernie Jenkins and his partner, Walter “Wally” Korzeniewski, and Jason Spatz, whose Meadowlark Productions will stage and direct the event.

Quite literally, “World Karaoke Live” is available for anyone on Earth to perform or to simply watch and enjoy. Having pre-registered for performance time, the singers will call into the show using Skype when their number is called.

Like a traditional karaoke show, the entertainers will see the lyrics and hear the music as they perform on Facebook Live.

Before registering, performers can peruse the list of available songs to sing via the "Songbooks Online" app and entering code "USADJ1."
“This is a fun and entertaining way to promote social distancing by coming together virtually while we have to be apart physically,” Korzeniewski says.
