Imperial Representation: Bringing Ourselves To The Table At Strut In San Francisco CA

December 5, 2019 - 5:00PM to 8:00PM PST

Founded in 1965, the Imperial Court of San Francisco is one of the oldest LGBT organizations in the world. It began with Jose Julio Sarria, the first openly gay candidate for public office who ran to raise attention to the years of oppressive police raids on gay bars and arrests of gay men.

Today, the organization has expanded into an international system with over 65 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Each Court serves its community through raising funds and awareness for their local charities and organizations.

Join us as we share our QTPOC experiences as a member of the Imperial Court of San Francisco, what it means to get involved, and why it's important we are represented.

This event is being held at Strut (470 Castro St) on the third-floor lobby. Tokens for transportation available upon request.
Text QTPOC to 474747 if you have any questions about our Thursday nights!

Accessibility: There are no stairs to enter the lobby level at Strut from the street level. The building has three floors, and there is a stairwell with handrails and a wheelchair-accessible elevator. There are 26 steps from the lobby to the 2nd floor and 48 steps from the lobby to the 3rd floor
