Pride Weekender at The Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco CA

Saturday, June 25-2022 - 12:00PM to 7:00PM PST

MIGHTY REAL presents THE 1ST ANNUAL PRIDE WEEKENDER. For the past 10 years, we've built something special every Sunday of Pride Weekend @ The Phoenix Hotel. In our 10th year, we've decided to take it up a notch. We're proud to present our first annual, Mighty Real Pride Weekender featuring David Morales, Derrick Carter, DJ Heather, Tedd Patterson, Robin S & our resident/co-founder, David Harness + LOCAL support from a few of our favorites - Nina Sol, Jeremy Rosebrook & Jimmy DePre.

DAVID MORALES. David Morales is a globally revered American DJ, a Grammy award-winning record producer, songwriter, and businessman. He has produced and remixed over 500 records for an all-star roster of multi-platinum artists, including Mariah Carey, U2, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. The global phenomenon and penetration of dance music into Top 40 radio would not have been possible without him.

DERRICK CARTER. One of the pinnacles of Chicago house music's '90s wave, Derrick Carter began DJ’ing at the age of nine, spinning disco records at family reunions. Born and raised in the western suburbs, Carter was into music from a young age, but during his teens, Chicago's house scene sucked him in for good. Before long Carter became a strong presence in the city's underground dance scene. "When I got my driver's license at 16 my sneak ability was validated," he laughs. "I was a fierce bedroom jock for a long time. After you mix for the love of it for six or seven years, you get it pretty tight and you can take it on the road." He got by working at dance-music specialty stores like Gramaphone and gigging at parties. Later he landed regular DJ stints at Shelter, Foxy's, and Smart Bar. Though he doesn't spin much locally anymore when he does he attracts large crowds. Most of the time he works in Europe, where he's become a minor celebrity among dance-music aficionados.

DJ HEATHER. In the past few years, the Chicago house community has produced a number of innovative and distinct DJs trained in the art of transforming tranquil dance floors into spaces of sheer bedlam and bliss. Derrick Carter, Diz, Mark Farina, and Sneak stand at the forefront of the nouveau jock barrage born and bred in the underground gatherings which flourish there. Their committed visions of undiluted musical appreciation, interactive communication, improvisation, and basic integrity have brought greater attention to all the city's great DJs including the genre-busting DJ Heather. Widely regarded as one of the premier selectors in the nation, this Brooklyn-born Chicagoan demonstrates her skills and sharp deck acumen for the massives throughout Chicago and the world at large with verve and undeniable talent.

TEDD PATTERSON. In addition to regular gigs in NYC - Output, Flash Factory, House Of Yes, Cielo, and Le Bain, to name a few, Tedd also plays his signature blend of percussive House and Techno in clubs around the globe. Tedd has played to packed dance floors at Ministry of Sound in London, Pacha in Ibiza, as well as Panorama Bar in Berlin! His sound has also been heard at Stereo in Montreal, Propaganda in Moscow, and Ageha in Tokyo. Also of note are his legendary sets in numerous clubs in the south of Italy with The Angels Of Love!

ROBIN S. A house diva whose productions use live instrumentation just as much as electronics, Robin S. debuted with the Top Ten hit "Show Me Love." The Queens, NY native was signed by Big Beat Records in 1993, and debuted with the hot single, which climbed the charts during 1994, and spurred her first album, also titled Show Me Love. After working on her songwriting for several years, she began recruiting producers such as Eric "E-Smoove" Miller and Todd Terry to work on her second album. Released in 1997 on Atlantic, From Now On reflected broader interests for Robin S., encompassing gospel and ballads in addition to hi-NRG dancefloor material. The album spawned one successful single on the dance charts: "It Must Be Love."
