Mother’s Day: A Garden Party In The Style Of Mother Cavallucci at New Hope Lodge in New Hope PA

Come out to honor the legacy of Mother Cavallucci on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM at the New Hope Lodge pool! Mother’s Day: A Garden Party In The Style Of Mother Cavallucci is a free event with a limited capacity of 100 attendees. It will feature a line up of speakers and drag performances hosted by Phoebe @Manntrappe and Miss Pumpkin featuring Tina Montgomery (@supremediva22) and Rusty Miller.

Joseph “Josie” Cavallucci (aka Mother Cavallucci) is a crown jewel of the New Hope queer community. She performed across Bucks County for over 55 years. Although she passed away in 2000, her impact in New Hope is undeniable. She was a trailblazer hosting annual “wedding ceremonies” bringing together the community in celebration and mutual support.

In honor of Mother’s legacy, we are asking attendees to dress formally, so wear your best! Mother loved bright colors like pink and purple. She was a fan of feather boas and always had her hair and nails done. In this same spirit, please come dressed to impress. Sequins, beads, sparkles, feathers, rhinestones, all encouraged. Please note there will be no pool swimming usage.
